Rating Summary
James Gunn's Superman suffers from a hint of frantic desperation and lacks the distinctive style or dramatic intensity of the love-it-or-hate-it Man of Steel, as well as the magic and visceral sincerity of the 1978 classic. However, it does a respectable job of world-building and gives us a main character who embodies the hero's core traits better than any iteration since Reeve suited up.It's imperfect, but fun.
