Bluey follows the adventures of a 6-year-old Blue Heeler puppy named Bluey and her family. Each episode focuses on Bluey, her dad, Bandit, her mom, Chilli, and her younger sister, Bingo, as they engage in imaginative play and explore everyday experiences. The show emphasizes themes of family bonding, creativity, and problem-solving, often highlighting the importance of play in a child’s development.

Woke Warning: In the season 3 finale, Pretzel casually mentions that he has two moms, saying, “My mums told me he might come back, but he didn’t.”

About the whole “mums” comment: this is actually a misunderstanding regarding a quirk of Australian English. People there can cutely refer to one’s mother as “mums” or “mumsy”, and also may refer to one’s father as “pops”. I mention this because a lot of people like to make a big deal over nothing in order to spoil the fun for everybody.

Bluey has been around for a while now and the people who watch the show are emotionally attached to it in a very personal way. Nothing I can say will change their opinions at this point, so I’m not going to bother doing that here. If there was an episode you really liked or one that you thought missed the mark, you can express your opinion on it.

It’s confirmed he meant two mothers.

I don’t think the Bluey Wiki is managed by the company – it’s almost certainly made with fan contributions. The Cocomelon one says that JJ is 8 years old.

One the one hand, very slight woke comment that’ll probably go over everyone’s heads.
On the other hand, BRILLIANT show.

KEEP YOUR KIDS SAFE! It’s incredibly notorious for having a fandom full of pedophiles, babyfurs and ABDLs.

The portrayal of a traditional nuclear family alone makes this heads above many other shows. The dialog is actually believable and relatable, the kids aren’t demonic smart-a**es who belittle their parents (like most sit-coms), though they do have more realistic innocent playful banter that a young child might engage in (and not be punished). Have seen quite a few episodes, and haven’t seen anything objectionable – if anything, this show portrays a normal, healthy family trying to keep its innocence in a rotten world that the parents try their best to shield the kids from.

As a mother of 3 (almost 4), with the older two being girls, this show seemed like a match made in heaven. As I have watched almost every episode with my kids, I can say it is indeed a small slice of heaven. The parents both lovingly care for their children, each taking turns to teach some valuable lesson or skill or show the fun side of everyday life.
The heart of this show is the family and I love the fact that the dad is strong and imaginative. He is not some stupid blob who must be shown by the woman in his life the right path. In terms of wokeness, it is almost non existent. It is most certainly not the focus, which surprised me and delighted me. Almost all families you encounter are intact and enjoy their family lives. There are also some very touching episodes that always make me cry. My husband and I enjoy watching with our kids and in terms of role models for both kids and adults, it is one of the best.
You won’t be disappointed. Give it a go!
