I hate this movie. Wasted Luke, obsurd side plots, wasted Finn, Rose is aweful, lesbian kiss, one lesson for Rey, lame Luke and Kyli fight, wasted Leia and aweful light speed kamakaze ship crash. Destroyed all story elements setup for trilogy, left nothing for last movie which is why it was so stupid.
This is the one that set the trilogy up for failure. Ruined Luke Skywalker, continued “Mary Sueing” Rey, and made Finn a joke. Had some decent flight sequences with the Millenium Falcon and good music, but other than that is trash.
Cool scenes? Cool cinematography? Cool effects?
Sure. I’ll mostly give it those things.
A total open war against all Jar Jar Abrams set up in Force Awakens? Mary Sue Girlbossin’? Ruining the little good will that Force Awakens had going?
Absolutely. ALL of those things. This script is on par with Joker Part II….”lets make a sequel to a movie audiences liked, and this time deconstruct it all and piss all over it!”.
This movie and The Last Jedi are just so bad. Watching them 1 time is enough for a lifetime.
Let the past die indeed.
