Rating Summary
Nickelodeon’s live-action programming has undergone significant evolution since its inception in the late 1980s, starting with shows like “Hey Dude” and “Clarissa Explains It All.” In the 1990s, the network gained popularity among tweens with hits such as “All That,” “Kenan & Kel,” and “The Amanda Show.” Moving into the 2000s, Nickelodeon continued to diversify its content with series like “Drake & Josh,” “iCarly,” and “The Thundermans,” maintaining its position as a prominent platform for youth-oriented live-action entertainment. Despite some fluctuations in viewership and trends over the years, Nickelodeon remains a recognizable force in the live-action TV landscape.
The Thundermans Return
The Thundermans Return follows the superpowered family as they embark on a new era of superhero crimefighting. Twins Phoebe and Max are enjoying their superhero lifestyle, but when one of their heroic rescues goes awry, the Thundermans find themselves sent back to their hometown of Hiddenville. While Hank and Barb relish their return, and Billy and Nora anticipate a normal high school life, Max and Phoebe are determined to regain their superhero status.
PARENTAL NOTES
- The Thundermans Return is rated TV-G, and it is completely warranted.
- What violence there is is beyond cartoonish and silly and dulled by just the worst special effects.
WOKE REPORT
Mensa, Here We Come… Not
- No character is in danger of winning a Fulbright Scholarship. However, the men, especially the young ones, are significantly stupider than the women. The youngest boy’s brain couldn’t power a clock.

Don’t know where to ask this, but will you be reviewing X-Men ‘97? I love the 90s series and am interested in checking it out, but I’m scared Disney will inject modern leftist politics into the show despite its 1990s setting.
Working on it right now.
Thanks!
