Spielberg’s modernized version of “The War of the Worlds” was a phenomenal triumph that is still worth it 20 years later. The movie honors the source material while still being up to date. The movie features good acting, great special effects, and excellent pacing. Tom Cruise’s character is also a good male role model who steps up to protect his kids when necessary. I also might add that the cinematography of the highway scene just after the invasion is mind-blowing.
