Rating Summary
Secondary characters are largely an afterthought, and Young Washington could have benefited from a little more Hollywood and a dash less accuracy to give it an emotionally connective boost, but a charismatic performance by its lead and an amazing true story will leave audiences demanding a sequel.

Young Washington is Angel Studio's best film to date, and a must see for American patriots and history buffs.

Before he became the Father of a Nation, a young and ambitious George Washington navigated the dangers of the frontier as a British colonial officer. A single misstep in the Ohio Country thrusts him into the heart of a global conflict, where war, betrayal, and impossible choices test his honor, loyalty, and courage. Young Washington follows the early forging of a legendary leader amid the fires of the French and Indian War.

    Worth ItWokeA

Enough story to keep me engaged and enough action to keep my pre-teen engaged. Angel studios needed a win after the “Animal Farm” debacle and this just might be it. Really solid from start to finish.

    Worth ItNOT WokeB-

This is Angel Studio’s best film yet, however the quality still isn’t quite where I wish it was. They did a pretty good job keeping the story accurate. I think they wanted George Washington to grow as a character but they portrayed him a little too weak at times. His moment of bravery looked more like foolishness in how it was portrayed, they could have benefited from better consultation on the war reenactment. Overall it was worth seeing and my family, who is much less critical than me, all loved it.
