In Morbius (2022), Dr. Michael Morbius, a brilliant but terminally ill scientist suffering from a rare blood disorder, desperately seeks a cure to save himself and others. Experimenting with a dangerous procedure involving vampire bat DNA, he transforms into a superhuman creature with enhanced strength, speed, and echolocation, but also an insatiable thirst for blood. As Morbius grapples with his newfound powers and monstrous urges, he battles to maintain his humanity while confronting his childhood friend Milo, who embraces the same transformation for darker purposes. Torn between heroism and horror, Morbius must navigate his cursed existence to protect those he loves and stop Milo’s deadly rampage.

I can’t be bothered to watch this trash, but online it’s tough to find any evidence of political tinkering. Which is hard to believe, considering the kind of commercial entity this is.
